Playlist: June 2015: Part I

June 2015 has been a hell of a month so far for Folk and Tumble with great new tunes gracing the record player and some superb live shows attended and reviewed.

It’s Friday afternoon and outside the windows of Folk and Tumble HQ, a strange yellow ball burns in the sky. Memories of road trips and kicking back in parks flood back and it seems like the perfect time to enjoy some tunes.

Earlier in the week, we brought you our Blissfields Festival 2015 playlist, which features everyone from John Grant to Beans on Toast and is a truly eclectic reflection on the great entertainment the guys and girls provide over in Hampshire in July. Our walk to work this morning was soundtracked by the stunning pop classic ‘Dusty in Memphis’, no doubt inspired by the strong female vocals from the likes of Colleen Brown and Natalie Prass, that we’ve been enjoying.

If you haven’t been keeping up with what’s on our stereos that’s OK. We’ve made a Friday afternoon playlist for you, with the best of what we’ve featured, enjoyed and seen live so far this month.
