A first for Belfast as PRS presents promising new talent…

PRS (Performing Rights Society) announced its first showcase event for Belfast under the name of Belfast PRS Presents. Featuring three of Northern Ireland’s most promising artists – Jealous of The Birds, The Clameens and Katherine Philippa – the evening of live music will take place on 28th April 2016 in the Oh Yeah Music Centre.

The evening showcase is preceded by an Inspire Workshop presented by Small Business Saturday which runs throughout the afternoon in the city centre music hub.

The focus of the invite-only workshop will be live music in Belfast and the importance of its impact within the business community.

The Performing Rights Society is a group of songwriters, composers and music publishers who license organisations to play, perform and make available music on behalf of their members and distribute the royalties from those plays fairly and efficiently. They also promote and protect the value of copyright in the digital age.
