Beth Orton announces Belfast show

One of the most under-rated experimental folk artists in recent times, Beth Orton is back on tour and will play the iconic Limelight 2 venue in Belfast.

Best known for mixing folk music and electronica, Beth Orton is one of the most unique and beguiling voices in British music today.

In support of her sixth album, ‘Kidsticks’, Orton will play Belfast’s Limelight 2 on 3rd February 2018.

As well as being known as part of the folk revival scene she is also one of the few recognisable faces who was at the forefront of the mid 90s dance scene.

In a career spanning two decades, she has worked with musicians and producers as diverse as Four Tet, Terry Callier, Emmy Lou Harris, Johnny Marr and Nick Cave to allow her to constantly grow and evolve her unique brand of English folktronica.

Along the way, she earned a Mercury nomination with her first album ‘Trailer Park’ and won a Brit Award for Best British Female Artist with the follow-up ‘Central Reservation’.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 8th December 2017 from Ticketmaster and The Limelight, Belfast.
