'Live a Little Lie Oh', is a bright, breezy, upbeat song highlighting Brigid’s thoughts on indulging in flights of fancy, to find who you really are.
As she states herself, it’s about the “Itch we often feel to just truly free in ourselves, even if it’s only for a little while.”
It’s a positive message and a fun prelude that augurs well for the impending new album.
A co-write with fellow Co Down native Cormac Neeson (lead singer with The Answer), he also adds his own distinctive vocals to the infectious tune, with the voices blending beautifully. It’s a neat blend of sincerity and whimsy, which is a difficult mix to bring off, but Brigid manages to pull it off.
The single, and album were recorded in Nashville and produced by Neilson Hubbard, the hardest-working producer in the business(Mary Gauthier, Ben Glover, The Orphan Brigade). With a launch gig at the Deer’s Head on 15th November, and hopefully a full tour to come, these are exciting times for the talented singer-songwriter.
‘Live a Little Lie Oh’ is released on 19th October
