Foy Vance announces an intimate Belfast show and new album

Foy Vance's upcoming record 'Signs Of Life' may be one of his most personal yet, and you can catch a rare intimate show in Belfast this September.

Foy Vance will play an Intimate show in Belfast's Empire Music Hall on 12th September 2021. The concert will mark a return to live music for the accomplished artist and a chance to showcase songs from his new album 'Signs Of Life'.

Created out of the grimness of 2020, ‘Signs Of Life’ is a record of dawn after darkness, hope after despair, engagement after isolation, uplift after lockdown. As Vance explains:

I had my first extended period off the road after twenty years of constant touring. And I realised wow, I drink two bottles of wine and at least a half bottle of vodka a day. I’d start the day with codeine to get myself sorted, and I’d smoke joints throughout the day. So I realised I have so many incredibly bad habits here. I’m showing all the signs of death, getting ashen, grey, smoking more, drinking more, smoking more… I hit a wall.

At any time a new Foy Vance album would be a tonic but with its redemptive themes and brutal honesty surrounding Vance’s own struggles, ‘Signs Of Life’ may be one of the most anticipated releases of 2021. ‘Signs Of Life’ is available for pre-order now at foyvance.com.

Tickets for the Belfast Empire Musical Hall show go on sale on Friday 2nd July 2021 via ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets.
