After a break of almost three years, folk-rockers The Saw Doctors have announced they will play a show at Belfast’s iconic Ulster Hall in January 2017.
From humble beginnings playing pub gigs in the 1980s, the band burst onto the international scene when they were discovered by and toured with Mike Scott of The Waterboys. Hit single ‘I Useta Love Her’ soon followed and shot the band to almost overnight stardom as well as delivering them a lengthy nine-week number one spot. The single is still listed as one of the top selling Irish singles of all time.
With a reputation for being a fierce live act, the band has played concerts and festivals across the world including, Glastonbury and T In The Park.
Revitalised after their break, founding members Davy Carton and Leo Moran decided to regroup the Saw Doctors and have announced a full UK tour which will see the band play Belfast’s Ulster Hall on the 21st January 2017.
