The Best of 2018

As the year draws to an end, we've been digging out some favourite records of the year and compiling a short 'Best of 2018' for your listening pleasure.

As another year draws to a close it’s time to sit back and reflect on some of the great music that the team here at Folk and Tumble reviewed and enjoyed this year.  As always it has been both a privilege and a pleasure to get access to, and to be trusted with an artist’s work ahead of release.  With that in mind we’ve put together (In no particular order) a list of some of our favourite records of 2018 along with a handy playlist for your listening pleasure.

Courtney Marie Andrews:  “May Your Kindness Remain”.

Matt McGinn:  “End of The Common Man”.

Frank Ormsby and Anthony Toner:  “The Kiss of Light”.

The Lost Brothers:  “Halfway Towards A Healing”.

Jackie Oates: “The Joy of Living”.

Joshua Burnell:  “Songs From The Seasons”.

Ben Glover:  “Shorebound”.

Gretchen Peters:  “Dancing With The Beast”.

Richard Thompson:  “13 Rivers”.

RHR:  “Mahogany Drift”.

Kevin Gordon:  “Tilt and Shine”.

Villagers: The Art Of Pretending To Swim”.

Ken Pomeroy:  “Hallways”.

Jeremy Nail:  “Live Oak”

As always our heartfelt thanks goes out to our magnificent team of reviewers.  As well as the many bands, artists, PR companies and promoters we’ve had the pleasure of working with.  And last, but by no means least to our readers without whom we wouldn’t be here.

See you all in 2019.
