Punk Blues duo, The Bonnevilles have just released details of their new album with presales now open. Formed in Lurgan and Banbridge in 2009, the duo of Andy McGibbon and Chris McMullan have gained success not only in Northern Ireland, but have seen their music featured in television and film scores across the world.
Summer 2025 will see the release of ‘Age of Monsters’, their fifth studio album. It will be available in multiple formats and can be pre-ordered now via the band website: thebonnevilles.co.uk
At a capacity show in Belfast’s Deer’s Head Music hall last weekend the band showcased some of the new songs.
‘A Penny for The Earl’ is a direct response from the band to the ongoing issue of pollution and ownership of Lough Neagh, the largest fresh water lake in the U.K.
The album title track, ‘Age of Monsters’ highlights the plight of the ordinary people of Gaza and the politics that allow the slaughter of innocents to continue.
An official album launch date has been schedule for Belfast’s Limelight venue on the 8th August, with further tour dates, including European festivals to be announced.
Going by the previews of the new songs, The Bonnevilles are about to unleash one their best albums to date.
