The Twangtown Paramours consist of husband and wife duo M T Lewis and Mary Beth Zamer. They've been making music together for many years and 'The Wind Will Change Again' is their fourth album.
‘The Wind Will Change Again’ marks a shift in style and sound for The Twangtown Paramours. Setting aside the electric guitar based sound of their previous works, this new album is more laid back and the songs more personal.
‘Sincerely Yours No More’ opens the album with a gentle Americana folk infused sound while the lyrics deal with let down and promises undelivered. There’s an appreciation of life and loss in songs such as ‘Old Friends’ and ‘The Garden’, both providing a touching reminder of the fact that time is finite, especially time spent with loved ones.
‘Room In Bordeaux’ with it’s dreamy accordion conjures up imagery of pavement cafes in Paris. A story of broken dreams and wrong choices that many young female aspiring musicians will relate to unfolds in ‘Coupons & Cowboys’
‘The Wind Will Change Again’ is a strong album that’s been built on experiences of lives lived. Musically the duo blend together perfectly and the laid back nature of the recording allows their lyrics to shine through.
The Twangtown Paramours will tour the U.K for the first time in April and May 2025. Full details from thetwangtownparamours.com
