Four time Grammy winner, drummer, producer and songwriter Tom Hambridge returns to the spotlight with new solo album 'Down The Hatch'.

Tom Hambridge isn’t a name that leaps out in the way that Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy or George Thorogood does, yet his songs have been recorded by them all. And, there’s a good chance that he has also has recorded and toured with them on drums.

‘Down The Hatch’ features some of Hambridge’s best songs, sung as he first envisioned them, in his own voice.  His gravel edged vocal perfect suits the genre as he and his backing band run through the twelve songs on the record.

Highlights include, ‘Every Time I Sing The Blues’, originally recorded by Buddy and Eric Clapton.  Buddy Guy lends his guitar skills to the rock and roll drenched ‘You Gotta Go Through St. Louis’.  And, Hambridge’s co-write with George Thorogood, ‘Willie Dixon’s Gone’ is a foot stomping rocker of a track.

Recorded at Blackbird Studio A and Ronnie’s Place in Nashville, TN, Down The Hatch was mixed and mastered by Michael Saint-Leon and Tom Hambridge at The Switchyard. Tom has hand-assembled a stellar group of talented musicians for this album: Rob McNelley (Bob Seger), Tom Bukovac (Joe Walsh), Bob Britt (Bob Dylan) and Buddy Guy on guitar; Glenn Worf (Mark Knopfler), Tommy MacDonald (Johnny Winter) and Anton Nesbitt (BeBe & CeCe Winans) on bass; Mike Rojas (The Black Keys) Kevin Mckendree (Brian Setzer) and Noah Forbes on keyboard. Tim Lauer (The Smashing Pumpkins) is contributing on accordion with Hambridge on drums, vocals, and percussion.

‘Down The Hatch’ is a strong release that highlights the talents of one the best songwriters in contemporary blues music.
