Best of 2019

It's been another great year of music on the Folk and Tumble stereo and Gerry McNally is on hand to take us through his Best of 2019 with a handy playlist.

As another year draws to a close it’s time to sit back, reflect on, and raise a glass to some of the great music that the team here at Folk and Tumble reviewed, and enjoyed this year.  As always it has been both a privilege and a pleasure to get access to, and to be trusted with an artist’s work ahead of release.  With that in mind, I’ve put together a list – in no particular order – of some of our reviewers’ favourite records of 2019 along with a handy playlist for your listening pleasure.

Featuring: John Kilzer, Luther Russell, The Orphan Brigade, Martyn Joseph, Velvet & Stone, John Blek, Joshua Burnell, Jake La Botz, Big Dave McLean, Wilfie Gilbert, Anthony Toner, Wookalily, Anna Tivel, Belinda O’Hooley, Amanda St John, Kitt Philipa, Tom Russell, Maz O’Connor, Jack Rutter, Martin Simpson, Ian Prowse, The Felice Brothers, Suzanne Jarvie, Lucy Rose, Mary Black, Sam Baker, Bella Hardy. Beni Kirkpatrick & the Excess, Granny’s Attic, Charlie Grey & Joseph Peach.

As always our heartfelt thanks go out to our magnificent team of reviewers.  As well as the many bands, artists, PR companies and promoters we’ve had the pleasure of working with.  And last, but by no means least to our readers without whom we wouldn’t be here.

See you all in 2020.
