Stay With Me – Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan tops the UK charts with his 36th studio album, a cover of jazz and swing standards titled 'Shadows in the Night' outselling Ed Sheeran by over 5,000 copies.

It’s all about the Bob this week as Bob Dylan sees his latest studio album ‘Shadows In The Night’ top the UK charts, knocking Meghan Trainor from the number one spot and outselling Ed Sheeran by over 5,000 copies. Over the years Dylan, has had his fair share of critics, many of whom he addressed in this memorable MusiCareS speech.

This album marks a departure from the more traditional sounds of Bob Dylan, not that he’s ever been one to shy away from tackling new sounds and directions. ‘Shadows in the Night’ is the first newly recorded Dylan record since ‘Tempest’ in 2012, and features ten reworkings of pop, jazz and swing standards made famous by the likes of Sinatra in the big band era.

Big band. Big legendary performance. Big record.
