Sunday at Sunflowerfest [Photos]

Sunflowerfest had a little bit of everything. Bluegrass and folk from Newcastle and Cornwall, main stage greatness from Emerald Armada. Oh, and that rain.

All the fun in the sun of Saturday seemed like a distant memory at times by Sunday afternoon.

As the wind and rain lashed the site, we managed to nip out from under the canvas covers to grab some photos of Amanda St John and Magwere who battled the elements with sass and style.

There was considerably more on Sunday’s bill for fans of folk, country and bluegrass. We’ll not dwell on the odd inclusion of a rather shiny-shirted man who twanged and yodelled along to a backing track, making the likes of Nathan Carter look like a rebel outlaw.

There were fantastic main stage sets by English acts Love Street and Gilded Thieves before the rains came and the sun broke through once again for a superb set, smattered with new material from Emerald Armada. We even dipped our toes in the delightfully retro 80s vibes of Vokxen.

Who’ll make it into our top ten highlights? Who makes it into yours?
