Arcade Fire to hit Belfast

Canadian band Arcade Fire has a new album in the making and are set to step onto Northern Irish soil for the first time with a show at Belsonic this summer.

Arcade Fire will make a first ever appearance in Northern Ireland this summer with a show at Belsonic 2017. The outdoor headlining set has been announced for the Ormeau Park venue in Belfast on 13th June 2017.

Finding a music fan who isn’t familiar with the genre-spanning, eclectic back-catalogue of Arcade Fire is almost an impossibility. Formed in Montreal, Arcade Fire Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara have been wowing music fans and gig-goers across the world for more than a decade.

2017 will mark their debut performance in Northern Ireland.

The band’s last record was the stunning ‘Reflektor’ back in 2013. It hit number one on the album charts in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Belgium, and Portugal also topping the iTunes chart in many other countries.

Their prior three albums, ‘Funeral’ (2004), ‘Neon Bible’ (2007), and ‘The Suburbs’ (2011) all reaped widespread critical acclaim and a clutch of awards across the globe.

Tickets priced £45 plus booking fee for this hotly anticipated show go on sale this Friday 17th February 2017.
