Bangor Culture Day

Open House Festival heads to the seaside in Bangor for the inaugural Bangor Culture Day and makes a call for creative people to get involved in the event.

Art and Culture by the Bangor Seaside

It’s less than two weeks until the inaugural Bangor Culture Day, which takes place on 23rd August 2014 between 2 and 7pm down by the seafront.

Run by Open House Festival and supported by North Down Borough Council, this unique event has promised to “lift the lid on the creative and cultural underbelly of Bangor”. Local business premises and public spaces will be transformed to host performances, workshops and demonstrations from hundreds of creative people including an open air tea dance, a record fair, a craft bazaar, iPhone photography workshops, a street market, open air yoga, tai chi, reggae and the now infamous caravan jams… all completely free!

Get to Bangor and get involved.

The next 48 hours are your last chance for our more creative readers to play a part as the festival are looking for artists, musicians, crafters, bands, buskers, poets, writers, choirs, dancers, actors, drama groups, record collectors and DJs. They’re also on the lookout for ukulele players of any standard for a secret event!

If you want to get involved, email Open House Festival by Wednesday 13th August.
