Blissfields News for 2015

'Somewhere in Time' is the intriguing theme of Blissfields 2015. The somewhere will be Hampshire and the time will be July 2015. Until then keep an eye out for more news.

Avid readers of Folk and Tumble over the years will know by now that we’re big fans of Blissfields Festival and although it’s cold and grey outside in Belfast as I write, we’re already thinking of warmer days in the Hampshire countryside in July.

Those guys and girls like to party, they liked it themed and this year from 2nd – 4th July you can indulge in the splendours of ‘Somewhere in Time’.

The festival’s growing up, hitting fifteen years old this summer and they promise this:

As Blissfields enters the halfway point of its second decade, the festival takes a weekend to look back over its 15-year history, gaze into the curious future of the universe and permits your imagination to run free. We invite you, and all tourists from the future, to the ultimate journey in traveling across the ages with Blissfields 2015… Somewhere In Time.

The family friendly, music and arts fest started off in 2001 and has grown into a little community just under the radar yet boasting sold out shows and acts including Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling, 2manydjs, Bastille, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, and Charli XCX. Not content with a stellar music lineup, the Blissfield team are renowned for the odd surprise or two on site. We didn’t brave the on-site hot tubs last year but the real ale festival within the festival was a big hit with us bearded folksters!

Tickets are selling well for 2015 with all Early Bird offers already gone. Head on over to the Blissfields 2015 website, secure your tickets and keep an eye out for what’s sure to be another excellent lineup.
