The press release from Open House festival declares “Danny Wilson is one of the good guys.” Having met the man and enjoyed a Guinness and a chat about country music, the Revival Tour and the merits of Springsteen after his last show in Belfast, we wholly agree. That was a quiet acoustic affair and it’s been a couple of years since the full band rocked out a hot and sweaty set in McHugh’s Basement in Belfast.
With the release of ‘Stay True’; their fourth studio album, Danny and The Champions Of The World are hitting the road again and this time bringing the folk, soul and rock and roll to the seaside town of Bangor. Support on the evening is from local songwriter Amanda Agnew who has won over many new fans this year with a string of acoustic performances.
