It’s been two years since Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros graced a UK stage but riding high on a wave of critical acclaim following the release of the sublime ‘PersonA’, the exceptional and eclectic outfit will return this August.
Two shows at London’s Islington Assembly Hall form part of a European tour that also sees the band play Green Man Festival later in the month. The UK dates coincide with the release of ‘Free Stuff’, the latest single from ‘PersonA’.
The ten-piece from New Orleans summoned up every ounce of avant-garde cool, heady blend of alternative-folk and NOLA jazz into what’s become their first collaborative songwriting effort yet with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros all getting in on the act. Tickets for the London show go on sale this Friday; 8th July ay 9am.
