Last month, film maker Myles O’Reilly gained exclusive access to the tourbus of Glen Hansard as he and his band made their way around Italy in support of the ‘Rhythm and Repose’ album.
The documentary made on the road contains everything you’d expect from a few days spent with Hansard, stories well spun, comedy moments, some stunning cinematography and lots of great music.
Rhythm And Repose was recorded in NYC by Patrick Dillett (David Byrne, Arto Lindsay, Laurie Anderson) and produced by Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The National, Antony and the Johnsons). It’s Glen’s first record since The Swell Season’s Strict Joy in 2009.
