Johnny Flynn does Shakespeare

Actor, songwriter, performer and all round good guy Johnny Flynn is leading celebrations to commemorate the birthday of William Shakespeare at The Globe.

We all Johnny Flynn as the writer of such new folk classics as ‘Tickle Me Pink’ and ‘The Wrote and the Writ’. Some even know him as the half brother of 90s crooner Jerome Flynn but did you know he’s also a classically trained actor and has been treading the boards around the UK since releasing his last album.

Recently he’s been starring in Shakespeare comedy ‘Twelfth Night’ in London’s Apollo Theatre alongside Stephen Fry and it this dual talent which sees him join The Magic Numbers to add some music to the bard’s birthday celebrations.

Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations take place at the Globe Theatre on Sunday 21st April and feature actors, musicians, magic shows and more.
