If there’s one thing the staffers at Folk and Tumble like more than a well written tune it’s a well crafted beer. The two are almost inextricably linked although one doesn’t always lead to accurate reviewing of the other. With that in mind, we’ll be venturing to the Hilden Beer Festival next weekend.
There’ll be a great range of beers, ales and ciders and with the festival celebrating it’s 30th anniversary, finger will be crossed there may be a slice of cake somewhere as well.
This year’s line-up features Folk and Tumble favourites Bap Kennedy, Malojian, The Hard Chargers and Kaz Hawkins so naturally we’ll be there to keep you all updated throughout the weekend.
Of course, it’s not the same if you’re not there yourself enjoying the tunes and tasting the beers so get yourself a ticket, get on the train and get yourself something nice from the bar.
Hilden Brewery is a short walk away from the Hilden train station and anyone with a valid train ticket will receive a £2 reduction on their festival ticket if arriving before 4pm thanks to this year’s partnership between the festival and Translink. Tickets for the three day event are selling quickly but still available to buy from the brewery, from Molly’s Yard or the tourist offices in Belfast, Lisburn and Hillsborough.
