We like a Welsh band we do… and it’s been a while since one so good has dropped in our inbox here. The guys over at Communion Records have introduced us to Catfish and the Bottlemen just before their new single comes out on the London based label.
It’s unashamedly indie, quirky, fun. It’s straight up hook-laden, guitar-driven nonsense. Don’t be suckered in by the trendy haircuts of the Vaccines or Arctic Monkeys. Get yourself a ticket for the Catfish Autumn tour kicking off in London this month. This is a hard working band with over 100 shows played in the last 18 months and plenty more to go before the year’s out.
And their video for ‘Rango’? Well, if you’ll excuse the awful pun, it’s the best thing to come across our screen this week!
