With a wild west sound straight out of East London, Forty Elephant Gang have picked up the baton passed round the capital from hands of Mumford and Sons via a slew of heartbroken, bearded, poets in backrooms and bars. Wielding guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin they thump out solid Americana and folk infused tunes with caps doffed to great like Dylan and newer acts like Trampled by Turtles and The Felice Brothers.
2014 has been a momentous yea for Forty Elephant Gang so far as they’ve taken their live show to bigger venues and crowds and dropped their debut EP ‘Slow Down The Days’. Have a listen below and stick around for the bluesy closer ‘Hand Out Your Pocket’.
