Introducing The Jepettos

'Troubles' is the eagerly awaited EP from Northern Irish folk-pop act The Jepettos and the songs will be brought to life at the launch party on 15 December.

Named after the wood cutting character from the Collodi’s revered children’s book ‘Pinocchio’, The Jepettos are a real creative force themselves; taking old wooden instruments and carving up something special, fairytale-like and alive.

We’ve been enjoying their work on the live scene around Belfast for the last year and the release of their new EP ‘Troubles’ is finally upon us. Coupling the talents of Michael & Ruth Aiken’s trademark delicate vocals and instrumentation with talented contributors such as Go Wolf’s Scott Jamison and cellist Alana Henderson.

The launch party takes place on Sunday 15th December in the intimate surroundings of The Sunflower Bar in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. It’s an ideal chance to get up close and personal with the band and their well crafted songs before undoubtedly The Jepettos take their show to bigger stages and festivals in the new year. There are a very limited amount of tickets available.

Their first single ‘Goldrush’ is a swooning dream like ditty, peppered with lucid lyrics and twin vocals so sweet and heart warming, it’s like pouring a cup of hot chocolate directly into your ear.

Support on the night comes from fellow Northern Irish acts Feet for Wings and Ciara O’Neill. Feet for Wings hail from Belfast and draw influences from acts such as Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes and the softer, more endearing side of new-folk. They don’t play many shows in Belfast these days so grab this rare chance while you can. Opening up we have live music from Ciara O’Neill who has recently completed recording her debut solo EP.
