Rebekah Wilson. Singer. Songwriter. Sickeningly great!
This is the face and sound of Belfast girl Rebekah Wilson. We’ve encountered her at tuneful performances in the Oh Yeah Music Centre where the next generation of Northern Irish talent are cutting their teeth. With labels like Bella Union picking up unnurtured talent from Irish shores like Soak, there’s probably no better time to be out and about the singer songwriter scene.
Rebekah Wilson has yet to release an album or even EP but at the tender age of sixteen her Soundcloud is choc-full of great demos showcasing a natural ability on keys and guitar as well as a soulful voice that reminds me, in the nicest possible way, of a young Juliet Turner.
When not gigging herself, Rebekah is usually down the front supporting the likes of More Than Conquerors and Axis Of on the Belfast scene. Check out this studio demo of ‘One Day More’, remember where you heard the name first and wait for that electric guitar breakdown to kick in…
