Introducing Yellowbridge

Yellowbridge is the performing alter-ego of Dubliner Ciara Donnelly, a versatile performer and former contestant on the Irish version of TV's 'The Voice'.

Who is Yellowbridge?

Yellowbridge is the alter-ego of Dublin based indie-folk songwriter, singer and pianist Ciara Donnelly. She first came to the attention of the Irish public as a contestant on the hit reality singing competition ‘The Voice of Ireland 2014’ on RTÉ performing hits like ‘Lonely Boy’ by The Black Keys and making it through to the final sixteen of the competition.

To cast her off as a talent show reject though would be great disservice. Having turned her hand to many forms of writing from rock to rap to the new jingle for Dublin’s 98FM. We caught up with her belting out some rap tunes with Malibu Shark Attack on tour but it’s when performing solo she’s at her most beguiling and commanding of attention.

One to Watch

‘Circus’ was nominated for the ‘IMRO Christie Hennessy Songwriter of The Year Award’ as far back as 2012 and Yellowbridge was shortlisted for Hot Press magazine’s ‘Big Break’ in 2013 as well as proving a hit at Whelan’s Bar’s ‘One to Watch’ festival the same year.

When not rocking out or rapping up, Yellowbridge has a soulful, warm whisper of a voice. Download her debut EP for free and listen for yourself.
