The prolific Laura Marling releases another album hot on the heels of 2011’s ‘A Creature I Don’t Know’. ‘Once I Was An Eagle’ continues the raw honesty of Marling’s songwriting as well as penchant for a six syllable record title. Produced by Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams/Kings of Leon), the new album is officially released in the UK on 24th May but you can hear it now.
Laura, herself states this is her most open and unguarded album to date:
“This album is definitely a step towards being more… plain in my songwriting, I suppose. As I’ve gotten older, more comfortable with myself, I’ve become more comfortable channelling honesty into songwriting.”
