Nine Below Zero Reform Classic Lineup

English blues band Nine Below Zero reform their classic 'Young Ones' lineup for an Autumn tour in 2014 celebrating the re-release of their first two records.

Nine Below Zero, named after the old Sonny Boy Williamson II song, were one of the top English blues acts of the early 80s and this Autumn sees them re-releasing their first two critically acclaimed albums on A&M. The “Young Ones” lineup features the original four-piece lineup of Dennis Greaves (guitar and vocals), Mark Feltham (harmonica), Mickey ‘Stix’ Burkey (drums) and Brian Bethell (bass).

The Autumn tour will feature only songs from the first three albums ‘Live at The Marquee’, ‘Don’t Point Your Finger’ and ‘Third Degree’, all of which have been re-released by Universal.

We were walking in the footsteps of some of the all-time greats. Led Zeppelin’s first album was recorded there, along with Who’s Next and Beggars Banquet by The Stones. It was the most inspiring experience.

The band never had what could be known as a hit single but won over legions of fans from punk and heavy metal to country during their heyday in 1980-1982. Visit their website for more on the “Young Ones” lineup and full details of the Autumn Tour.
