After a year’s absence in lieu of Open House gigs all year round, Belfast’s Open House Festival is back for June 2013.
There’s no marquee in Custom House Square this year though and perhaps lacking a marquee name alongside the likes of some of the previous headliners like Iron & Wine, Steve Earle or the Dave Rawlings Machine but the quality will be as high as ever. If you’ve ever been to an Open House gig then you’ll know they set a very high standard. Open House give good gig!
The highlight for me will be Simone Felice in the Black Box on Sunday 23rd June. Simone has been making some beautiful music since going solo from his band of brothers and his live sets are a near-religious experience. Perfect for a Sunday, eh?
There’s tons of talent from far and wide on display throughout the Festival including Lúnasa, Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson, Jarrod Dickenson and Jesca Hoop.
And the best bit??? Tickets for EVERY SINGLE GIG are only a fiver for a very limited time so get on it.
