Having toured non-stop since the release of the critically acclaimed ‘Shadowbirds’
earlier in the year, Red Sky July have found time to record a Christmas single which touches on the age old themes of nostalgia, hope, love and celebration. The old time feel of Shelly Poole and Charity Hair’s vocal harmonies and lilting guitar from Ally McErlaine are fresh and new and yet as familiar as turkey, trees and tinsel.
After a summer of shows with the likes of Steve Earle and Mary Gauthier, Red Sky July have become real contenders to the UK country music throne and peaked at number three in the UK Country Music Charts with ‘Shadowbirds’ on its release. ‘Christmas Time’ will be available digitally on 7th December 2014 and looks set to sit comfortably in the collections of any serious music fan who just cannot endure Slade for another festive season.
