Rue Royale Tour

Songwriting duo Ruth and Brooln Dekker - Rue Royale take their act on the road once again for a tour around some of England's major cities this April.

Way back in 2006, Ruth and Brooln Dekker started playing music in Chicago, drawing influences from Elbow, Grandaddy, John Martyn and Fleetwood Mac to name but a few. Two years later they set off for Europe on what was to be much more than just a tour.

Many miles, many shows and DIY releases later, the duo are releasing their third album. Using the Kickstarter model of fan funding enabling loyal fans to be more involved in the process of putting out the records, Brookln is excited by the upcoming release and to say a thank you of sorts to the fans, there are yet more miles being put on the clock as the band hit the road again in early May.

We’ve written a lot over the past year and it’s exciting! The new songs feel fresh and lively. We’ve been working much more intuitively and have a lot of confidence in this batch of tunes. Our releases so far have been home recordings which have been great fun. But we want to step up the quality and do real justice to our new material.
