Flaws – Bastille

Dan Smith was born on Bastille Day 1986 and for Bastille Day 2014 we bring you this beautiful performance of Flaws from Paris' Musée des Beaux Artes.

Who is Bastille?

Bastille is a British indie-pop band fronted by Dan Smith. They’re called Bastille in honour of Bastille Day, the national holiday of France which is celebrated today alongside Dan’s birthday. So to celebrate both these fine occasions, we’ve dug out this video from Paris’ Musée des Beaux Artes of ‘Flaws’; one of our favourite all-time Bastille singles.

I want to hear more.

Not often known for their unplugged and acoustic work, you’re more likely to hear some big indie beats, keys and synths from a live Bastille performance although there are rumours that late 2014 will see the release of an Annie Oakley inspired record. We’re holding our breath in anticipation of that one but in the meantime you can pick up their excellent debut album ‘Bad Blood’, which of course sounds better on vinyl than anywhere else.
