If you caught Frank Turner’s recent Dublin shows you’ll already be familiar with the music of Ciarán Lenehan. With support slots already under his belt alongside Damien Dempsey, Declan O’Rourke and former INXS frontman Ciaran Gribben he looks destined for bigger and better things.
We’ve had a listen to ‘These Stories’, the debut album from the young Tallaght man and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s been in the making for the last 18 months and will be available on November 15th with Dubliners having the chance to catch a launch party in The Pint the following night.
If you’re a fan of Frank Turner, Billy Bragg or the edgier punkier edge of folk music you’ll enjoy this record. Good honest music, straight up story-telling and charming singalong choruses. It doesn’t matter if you get the girl, lose the girl, spill your pint as you punch the air or stomp your feet, these stories are our stories.
