Roses – Hayseed Dixie

Bluegrass rockers Hayseed Dixie take on Outkast's hit 'Roses' in their own unique banjo and fiddle fuelled way. Folk and Tumble caught them at Groomsport.

Who is Hayseed Dixie?

Hayseed Dixie have been pioneering “rockgrass” since 2001 when they set up as a bluegrass band covering AC/DC tracks. AC/DC, Hayseed Dixie, see what they did there? That’s not where the cleverness ends as they’ve also released songs penned with their own unique hillbilly humour and have gone on to record other tracks by the likes of Queen, Motorhead and well, Outkast.

While Hayseed Dixie are mainly known as a covers outfit, they also record plenty of their own material as on ‘No Covers’ but if you want a good old hoedown pick up a copy of the ‘Best Of’.
