There’s been much talk of José González’s video for his latest single ‘Open Book’ and it’s rather unsettling video directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson. José had this to say about it:
In this video I’m attached to a thing, a big worm-like part of me that needs me more than I need it. It’s a humorous but still poetic twist on the theme of the album – ‘Vestiges & Claws’ and of the song – ‘Open Book’, regarding relationships.
This stunning variation of the ‘Open Book’ single features orchestral accompaniment by yMusic. They’re a New York City based chamber sextet who bridge the gap between pop and classical music.
