Who are Lily and Madeleine?

Lily and Madeleine are the Jurkiewicz sisters from Indianapolis, Indiana. They’ve been singing together for most of their lives and it shows in that tight sibling harmony that’s a feature of their dreamy folk-pop Americana sound.

Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty Records is home to Lily and Madeleine and last year saw two releases; an EP entitled ‘The Weight Of The Globe’ and their debut full length eponymous album ‘Lily and Madeleine’. This month brings a new ‘Acoustic Sessions’ EP featuring previously unheard versions of seven album tracks. Beautiful stuff.
