Looking out the windows you might be forgiven for not realising it’s summer. So, here at Folk and Tumble, we thought it was high-time to bring you a little slice of summery folk-pop from Wales. Currently, the whole Welsh nation are on a high with their football team advancing through to the semi-finals of the European Championships and we’re buzzing here at the albeit late discovery of a tremendous Welsh talent.
This is Lowri Evans. It seems we’ve been missing out in Northern Ireland. Across the water, they’ve been enjoying this bi-lingual songwriter’s talents for years. ‘Everyone Is From Somewhere Else’ is Lowri Evans’ sixth studio album and features this track ‘Don’t Know Why’.
She’s co-written with the likes of Kathryn Williams, Tom McCrae and Michele Stodart, played at Cambridge Folk Festival, Greenman and Summertyne Americana and has performed across the UK and America. This Autumn, Lowri will be touring throughout Ireland where you can enjoy tunes from her English and Welsh repertoire.
