She’s My Devil – Our Native Devils

Kris Telford makes a comeback with a new lineup and an edgier new sound with his new band Our Native Devils as they release their debut single.

We’ve followed the many guises and lineups of Belfast based songwriter Kris Telford over the years and they’ve always been known for their foot-tapping tunes, rootsy vocal performances and a sterling range of cowboy boots. We’re pleased to say that on first listen, ‘Our Native Devils’ are following suit.

Fed me Vodka, fed me Whiskey, got me hooked upon her drug.
She made what she wanted and convinced me it was love.

When she forced me to look at the sun it burned my weary eyes.
Although the sun was at it’s weakest I felt it take my very life.

‘She’s My Devil’ is the first track to grace our stereo here, unashamedly wearing influences on it’s sleeve. If this was a fine wine we’d swill it round and declare hints of Neil Young, Hank III and dare I say a little taste of Jace Everett? We could go on but safe to say if you like your folk a little edgier, up-tempo and with a bluesy Americana feel then you’re going to have to click that download link below.
