Who is Perfume Genius?

Perfume Genius is the performing moniker of Mike Hadreas, a genre melding writer from Seattle, Washington. ‘Queen’ is a sleazy groover of a tune, seeing Hadreas at his most lavish and confident and breaking away from the more stripped back raw sound of his first too records. It’s the lead single from ‘Too Bright’, which was released last week on Matador Records.

Perfume Genius first came onto our radar with the use of ‘Sister Song’ in the 2013 Netflix Original show ‘Hemlock Grove’. Since being discovered as a Myspace sensation in 2010 he has released two records ‘Learning’ and ‘Put Your Back N 2 It’.
