Tom Waits has been renowned for decades for the soul and earthiness of his distinctive vocal. Both tracks date back to the 1930 heyday of gospel firebrand Blind Willie Johnson and sit alongside songs by Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Luther Dickinson and a spirited rendition of ‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’ by Lucinda Williams.
