Mean – Twin Forks

Twin Forks was born from the desire of former Dashboard Confessional songwriter and frontman Chris Carrabba to embrace his love of folk tunes and Americana.

Who is Twin Forks?

Dashboard Confessional were no strangers to penning a great acoustic record but Chris Carrabba decided in 2011 to more closely embrace his love of classic folk and roots music forming Twin Forks in Boca Raton, FL before relocating to the spiritual home of Americana in Nashville, TN.

In the last two years, Twin Forks has grown into a diverse band of talented individuals with a real old-time string band feel. Much more like the Carter Family than any of those other old punks touring the acoustic circuit, the love of Americana is obvious on their debut record ‘Twin Forks’. It’s far from all work and no play with Twin Forks though as this cheeky but brilliantly executed cover of ‘Mean’ by Taylor Swift shows.

I love Dashboard. I love Further. I love my bandmates in those bands, and I don’t have any plans to not do those bands with those guys, but (Twin Forks) is where my heart is and where my creative reward is coming from right now.
