Blissfields Festival 2014 was a hive of activity once again and the job of getting round the entire site and covering all aspects of media coverage fell to students from Southampton Solent University who produced a daily newspaper, interviewes guests and artists and filmed some pretty great acoustic and backstage sessions.

Here’s an exclusive video from the Firepit Sessions featuring Johnny Boxcars. It’s a little bluesy, a little rockabilly, good ole fashioned music from hard working, fast playing guys. It’s the sound of the deep south and, I guess, in the UK Southampton might just be as deep south as you can get.
